U.S. History
5th grade students will focus on four areas: the meeting of the three cultures of Europe, Africa, and America with the arrival of Europeans, life in colonial times, why the colonists revolted from England, and how we created one nation out of thirteen diverse colonies.
In May, Har-Bur students will get a chance to experience colonial life first hand by visiting Old Sturbridge Village in Sturbridge, Massachusetts.
