    What's New In December:

    Language Arts:


    This month students will use the sequencing skills they learned in November to learn how to effectively retell a story. Retelling a story helps children create their own understanding of the text. A retelling can be done with both fiction and non-fiction books. A Story Map is a great tool to help students retell a story. Click below to view two examples:

    Math:

    During December students will work on Geometry and more problem solving.

    During December and January students will learn all about the weather. They will become Meteorologists and study different types of percipitation, clouds, temperature, and even conduct experiments to understand how important the weather is to our lives.
