5th graders raised over $244 to help save rainforests in the spring of 2008. They purchased rainforest buttons designed and made by Mrs. Sarah Allen and her Spanish classes. Mrs. Allen said that she did extensive Internet research before finally deciding to choose the Rainforest Action Network as the recipient of the fundraiser. Rainforest Action Network helps protect the forests, their inhabitants and the natural systems that sustain life. The 5th graders showed that they care about the rainforest and the plants and animals that live there!
