Mr. Fowler - Sapphire Team

Hello, students and parents of the Sapphire Team and welcome to the 7th grade geography experience!! We will explore and investigate many concepts and ideas from the complex, complicated and competitive world we live in.

We will study the five themes of geography, the types of governments and economic systems found in our world and the tremendous problems our growing population is creating.

The major part of our class curriculum will be the study of the Western Hemisphere. These exciting, hands-on units about the United States, Canada and Latin America will show the students the vast beauty and varied cultures of "our" side of the world.

I hope over the course of the year that all of my students will have a better understanding of the world that we live in. I encourage parents to talk about current event topics with your child, including some of the topics we will discuss during our Current Events Day.
