WoW!!!  Are you tired?  I am!  I am used to relaxing in the afternoon and reading a book by the pool with my Iced Coffee!!!  It was a shocker on Tuesday to hear that Alarm, my old friend from June!  But here we are!  We had a GREAT first couple of days.

It is going to take me a while to remember all the new names but I will work on it.  We talked a lot about risk taking and trying! We all make mistakes, no one is perfect!  Students were told about their journals, about homework return, homework grades, participation, groupwork, assessments etc etc......it was a long couple of days!

We are in the process of writing our I AM poems where students are using guides to help them create poetic verses about their favorite subjects, THEMSELVES!!  

I encourage you to sign up for parent portal and to have open communication with your child about their assignments.  I stressed to them that THEY are your best source of knowledge on what they are doing (or not doing) in class.  I am sure we are all going to have a FANTASTIC year!!!
