Well, this certainly doesn't effect everyone, but I thought it best to point it out.
If you have a
15-Inch MacBook Pro or
MacBook with this model number on the battery
A1175and a serial number that ends with
U7SA,
U7SB or
U7SC, you should head over to
this website to have your battery exchanged at no charge.
If you do have one of these, and it is Region 10 property, send me an
email and I will have it exchanged for you.
Also if you have a MacBook or MacBook Pro and it has any of the following symptoms:
- Battery is not recognized causing an “X” to appear in the battery icon in the Finder menu bar.
- Battery will not charge when computer is plugged into AC power.
- Battery exhibits low charge capacity/runtime when using a fully charged battery with a battery cycle count (as shown in System Profiler) of less than 300.
- Battery pack is visibly deformed.
Head over to
this website, and install the battery update. If it effects a Region 10 owned machine,
email me, and I will take the steps necessary to have the battery exchanged.
