See the new calendar below and updated pages!!!!
"We must go beyond the textbooks, go out into the bypaths and untrodded depths of the wilderness and travel and explore and tell the world of our journey." -John Hope Franklin

Students will immerse themselves in the ecology of Bermuda. They will study reefs/coastal habitats, marine life, island geology, the flora and fauna of the island, and water chemistry. Students will attend lectures by BIOS scientists, and take part in laboratory and field research.

This trip is revolved around the philosophy of Experiential Education. It focuses on the premise that individuals take a hands-on approach to learning. By fully immersing themselves in the environment of study they develop a deeper understanding of concepts and ideas, and hopefully leave with a life long appreciation towards learning.

Students will stay at the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences (BIOS). They will have access to the labs, library, computer lab and facility grounds where they will take part in both field and laboratory research. BIOS is conveniently located for easy access to snorkel sites, downtown Hamilton, educational day trips and various other island hot spots.
