About Me....

My name is Leanne Donahue. I am very excited to begin my fourth year teaching 6th grade Sewing and 8th grade Family Life Education at Har-Bur Middle School. My family and I spent a wonderful (although very short) and restful summer in Maine. I got an extensive amount of reading and running in; and I am energized and ready to start this year!

I am married with two children. My son, Sam, will be thirteen in October and in the 7th grade. My daughter, Olivia, is eleven and in the 6th grade. My Golden Retriever, Jake, is five (or as I commonly refer to him as my "115 pound lap dog!). We also have a golden colored kittie named Louie and a calico cat, Daisy.

After raising my family and working in both the Media and Health Club Industries for many years, I returned to school in 2002 to become a certified teacher. Prior to Har-Bur Middle School, I taught at the Middle School of Plainville and Rocky Hill High School.

I have a B.S. degree from Johnson and Wales University and M.A. in Education focusing on Reading and Language Arts from Saint Joseph College.
