    6th Grade Homework

    Week of January 5th:

    Crossword 2A due this week.

Wanted:Twelve sixth grade students to participate in the COLT Rhyme Celebration on March 18th. The students will sing and act out "Un elefante se balanceaba en la tela de una araña."

They would have to come to my room during X block, and to stay after school to practice. I will need two students to hold the spider web, and ten elephants to balance on it. All must have nice strong singing voices. If more than twelve volunteer, teachers will decide on the performers. Students will need to have a ride home from school after practice and after the performance.

IMPORTANT:  Separate progress reports in Spanish went home with all students on Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 17th and 18th.  They must be signed by parents and returned to me in Spanish class, not given to the homeroom teacher.

Sixth graders have now finished their Chapter 1B test, except for the Speaking part.  Students should be ready to describe themselves and tell what they like to do in Spanish for our next class.  I would like to finish these before vacation, weather permitting.

Our next chapter, 2A, is called "Tu día en la escuela."  Students will learn class names, ordinal numbers, and how to describe their own schedules in Spanish.  For those students who want a head start, the new vocabulary is on page 96.
