Week of Jan. 5th:
IMPORTANT: Separate progress reports in Spanish went home with all students on Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 17th and 18th. They must be signed by parents and returned to me in Spanish class, not given to the homeroom teacher.
Finish crossword 4B. Due Tues., Jan. 6th.
We have now completed the chapter 4A test, except for the speaking part. I would like to do those in the next class, weather permitting. Students should be able to talk about four places that they visit, when they go (the day), with whom they go, and why they go. Ex. Los lunes, mi hermana y yo vamos al gimnasio para hacer ejercicio. or Los lunes, yo voy al gimnasio con mi hermana para hacer ejercicio.
Our next chapter 4B, is called "¿Qué quieres hacer?" Students will learn how to express future time using "ir + a + infinitive,"
the verb jugar (which is called a stem-changing verb), how to make invitations, and how to express at what time things happen (¿A qué hora?). If students want to get a head start on the vocabulary, this is found on page 218.
¡Felices fiestas y vacaciones, y un próspero año nuevo!
