Dear Parents,
Below is a list of Priority Words that students are expected to spell correctly in their everyday writing. The first 15 are first grade words, The second list are 22 second grade words and the last section has 22 third grade words that we will be adding to our priority words throughout the year.
These third grade words will be introduced weekly throughout the school year and become a part of our “no excuse “ list for misspelling . If however, a student is struggling with mastery any of the words along the way (from any grade), those words will be added to the student’s personalized spelling list. Students will also be responsible for 5 “core “ spelling words. These words will be introduced weekly. Please let me know if you have any questions throughout the year about this program.
